Orchestra-in-residence at the Yuri Bashmet International  Music Festival - The East-West Chamber Orchestra was founded in 2015 by pianist and conductor Rostislav Krimer. This international orchestra is including best artists from Eastern- and Western- Europe.

Many of performers, who are part of this orchestra, are known as concertmasters and leaders of renowned orchestras, professors of music academies, winners of the most prestigious international music competitions, including Tchaikovsky and Paganini. One by one most of them are famous soloists with internationally acclaimed career. Each of them is a wonderful artist and together this makes a fantastic ensemble of soloists, which deserves to be heard.

The East-West Chamber Orchestra is unique both by musical level and geographic representation of the countries. There are musicians from Belarus, France, Georgia, Germany, Estonia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Russia, Ukraine among many others.

One of the ideas of this orchestra is to strength the cultural cooperation between Eastern- and Western- Europe and through pure culture to strength the friendship all over the world - The orchestra for Peace.

The orchestra was already collaborating with soloists like legendary pianist Paul Badura-Skoda and violinist Viviane Hagner. The orchestra was highly acclaimed by the public and critic and all of its concerts became the most successful projects as the earliest sold-out concert at the Bashmet Festival both in 2015 and 2016.

In the following seasons during the European tour of the East-West Chamber Orchestra, it plans to appear at the best concert halls and perform with world-class soloists like Maxim Vengerov, Julian Rachlin and Sergey Krylov.
